Lawn grass

Not the weed type - but I'm trying to find some decent quality grass. The old stuff that you tend to buy from the sides of the road is crap, full of holes and usually dies in the shade.

Does anyone know of a good supplier around here, possibly even an importer of some good stuff?

i have a quite wide area that gets full sun half of the year and graduating to full shade , you guessed it, the other half
i lay down some malay grass that i got from the side of the road crap vendor
it looks a treat , all year...
if you do buy from a side of the road, just make sure it has a half way decent layer of roots under it
otherwise forget it and keep looking

Thanks I actually bought the stuff I'm about to tear up from that place

What I found is they piled it so high the stuff at the bottom was already 90% dead and what wasn't dead was yellow. I spent ages trying to find sods that weren't full of holes or full of soon to be weeds.I.m thinking I might have to lower my expectations.

Something I've thought about in the past until I saw the price of seed here. 2 to 3 times the price of seed in the uk and of course quality isn't guaranteed.

Nice idea and probably highly satisfying if it comes off but my patience levels rule that out completely!
