Traffic lights planned for Pala U Rd

Post by usual suspect »

Evening you lot.
Heard a report today that there are plans to install traffic lights on the Pala U/Klong Rd junction..OK, casting the safety aspect aside it will really make the klong Rd a PiA to drive along..There's so many needless traffic lights along there as it is...& knowing the Thai planners they will not be putting in adequate left turn slip lanes, meaning all traffic has to stop..This could make coming into town from the West really messy ..What's the verdict on this from you all...?

IMO lights at this junction are long overdue. It is hard to get in and out of that road because nobody ever lets anyone go, there is zero courtesy on Thai roads.

The snarl-ups going in only really happened when schools were kicking out and/or the level crossing barrier was down, but that may be alleviated with the train going overhead now?
