Visa extension with letter from Airbnb

Had a shock went I went down to immigration last week. They now require a signed letter from the manager where you are staying that in fact you are staying there now. Previously only needed the address where I was staying.

Had to come back a couple days later. Manager was off checking another property.

Got it all sorted just in time as last day of 30 day Visa was on a Sunday.

I’ve read where there is a tightening on foreigners stays etc. Manager of condo I am staying it is the hotels preparing lawsuit for loss of business to Airbnb’s.
