Jersey Milk
I have been a milk lover my whole life. When I was young the milk was delivered to our front door step around 05:00 every morning. That always included one bottle of Jersey Milk. The cream on the top of the milk was always delicious especially if there had been fresh snow during the night and the milk was ice cold. I really enjoyed it! Recently I discovered that most of the major supermarkets in Hua Hin have started selling Jersey Milk and I regularly buy a bottle and store it in the freezer for about 90 minutes, drinking it just before it freezes. It has a much better taste than all Thai milk brands and I really enjoy it. Reminds me of my childhood.

Re: Jersey Milk
I would imagine it sells at a premium price, based on what they charge for tasteless Thai milk?
Back in the days when milk was delivered to your door on a daily basis, even the regular milk had a nice head of cream on it - during the winter months, my favourite was to pour it onto porridge that had been simmered on the gas stove for 30 minutes or more, with a generous spoonful of sugar or occasionally Tate and Lyles golden syrup!!

Seriously, I hadn't noticed it on sale - I might treat myself when shopping next.

^Yes, I remember the blue tits!
I used to do an early morning paper round in the seventies and it was a regular sight to see those bottles of gold top Jersey milk on doorsteps with beak marks through the lid.

I remember at Primary School, one of the top positions was to be “Milk Monitor” - your responsibility was to distribute the small bottles of milk we got every day - of course any spare bottles had to be consumed so…….

We used to have competitions in school to see who could drink the most milk. Later this changed to who could eat the most custard as we were allowed unlimited replenishment of jugs.

Re: Jersey Milk
In winter the milk in my primary school sat frozen outside the building since a probable 5am delivery. We each had to thaw our bottle on the cast-iron radiators in the classroom of a morning. An absolutely disgusting slushy, watery mess was the result.
Thankfully my lovely half pint of gold top at home every day, drunk straight from the bottle, meant that I didn't grow up to hate the stuff.
