HHDRC Fundraising Gala Dinner - 14th October 2006

Post by DawnHRD »

On Saturday 14th October 2006, HUa Hin Dog Rescue Center will be holding a gala dinner at Med Blu, the new Monsoon Restaurant on Petchkasem Rd. This will be a more sophisticated affair than previous fundraisers, and we are able to hold it due to the generosity of Stella, the owner of Med Blu & Monsoon.

Ticket price is 1,500 baht per ticket. 10% discount is available if you buy a table of 10, so if you get together a few mates & their wives or girlfriends, you only pay 1,350 baht per ticket.

Ticket price includes:
Welcome Cocktail
3 course meal
2 glasses wine/comparable drink (other beverages must be paid for separately)
Live music

There will also be an auction on the night.

All proceeds go to HHDRC.

Venue address: Med Blu, 17/49 Soi Mooban Nong-Kae. (100m after Soi 77, before Casa Del Mare)

Tickets are available from HHDRC Charity Shop, Monsoon Restaurant or Med Blu

Come and enjoy superb food & drink in gorgeous surroundings, bid for a couple of items, listen (or dance) to great music & have fun, secure in the knowledge that it's all for a very good cause! :D

I would love to attend! Unfortunately, I am presently in the wrong time zone. Best of luck and I hope you raise tons of cash for a very worthy cause! Cheers! Matt

The other was asked first, but if they can't make it, he's the next on my list. Maybe 2 bands? Can't see why not!

Sorted, JW. Went to see him in his shop today & (subject to agreement of other band members) his band will be playing for 2 hours on the night.
Now, I expect you to live up to your end & come along with your friends!! :thumb:

So whats going to be auctioned - bids by phone from abroad allowed? Only kidding! But why not open it up to the board - sealed bids - so if there is anything apart from the typical sunday lunch "raffles" from the typical UK boozer (joints of meat, bottles of booze etc), others could have a go?

I'm not saying I will - I'm faced with paying a lot of air fares soon (hopefully), but why not give it a try?

Of course, this might be deemed as being unfair on those able to attend?

I assume HHAD will be donating a few polo shirts? Excellent value by the way, wish I'd picked up another when I was last there - still think they should consider other colours, irrespective of the brand name/colour. Navy suits me, maroon doesn't. Not that I'm vain (how is that spelt?) or anything!!!!

I'm a Chelsea fan and they don't limit sales of polo shorts only to Royal blue and no disrespect, but I can't imagine too many potential lady customers thinking, "hmm, Maroon, I'll go for that"! You need a ladies range guys!

Thep's band will be first, then the auction & then Toon et al rounding off the night. That means none of the bands will need to miss their regular jobs. :thumb:

Caller, I'm open to bids from HHAD members - good idea! Some of the hotel/restaurant items might be of interest to guys that come over for holidays etc. I'll post a full list when we have it. We'll just have to have a gentleman's agreement that if an HHAD member makes the highest bid, that they will honour their bid.

Now have the tickets, so they're officially on sale from now! :)

It's actually a better deal than we thought, as it's a 4-course meal (not 3 as previously stated) and there will be canapes before dinner.

Time: 7pm till late
