Curious about Khao Sam Roi Yot

Post by paul406 »

I have been reading a bit about the National park Khao Sam Roi Yot.
I have read that it is about 63km South of Hua Hin.
What are some of peoples experieinces.
Is snorkeling and swimming available there?
What about overnight accomodations?

Thank you for your replies

Welcome to the booard,
Yes SRY is a great place for beaches, birdwatching, swimming and beautiful surroundings. I believe you can snorkel out at some of the islands but have never been myself, I always go to Koh Talu.

For accommodation try the Long Beach Inn they are close to the beach there and have a nice pool.

Definitely worth a visit. Vast diversity of animal life and a stop off for over 100 migratory birds. Irrrawady dolphins can be seen on most days.

From the summit of Khao Daeng on a clear day you can see for about 50 KM each way.

Is is very compact so can be seen in a fairly short time. Two or three dyas should be enough.

I believe most of the accomodation is just outside the Park but there are bungalows inside.

Some wonderful scenery as you drive through the park to the Laem Sala beach.
