Is there and good art shops

Post by Mack111 »

I’ve bought some paintings in the past to decorate the house in HH from some of the shops in the centre of town but need some more to finish it off, any of you guys know the best place to get some decent pictures / Art

nothing costing a bomb just something nice to finish a house off

Cheers

There was a very good oil artist who had work in the glass fronted gallery to the left of the Hilton (next door to a leathergoods shop I think).

I would recommend the W-E market Chatuchak (or whatever it's called) in BKK- they hava a great section w all kinds of paintings and loads of decorative stuff. Or of course Chiang Mai if you can...

The problem with the HH shops is they all sell the same paintings, in every second home you visit you find the same things...

There's a very good gallery underneath Oyster Bar near the fishing pier - they are all originals. There's also another original place on the Pala U road, not too far up, before the 7km marker on the right.
