No-one's absolutely sure, but potentially indefinitely. The real crackdown happened to the 30 day visa runners, so they can only get 90 days in any 180 day period on them now - no matter how many entries. It's the days that count.
Authorities here want people "in the system" and so TVs are exempt from this.
If you've got a visa, there should be no problem.
The main thing is that you're not beholden to the 90 day in 180 ruling if you've made the effort to get a proper visa in the first place.

A couple of years ago, I entered Bangkok 12 times within ½ a year, no problems to get TV stamped in passport, no question asked. Travelling back and forth between Seoul and Bangkok.

Phyco, I travel between Europe and Thailand every two months, and at the moment there seems to be no restrictions on how often you can do this. Athough it's difficult to find any hard regulations on this, when the restrictions on visa runs came in last year, several officials were quoted as stating that they weren't interested in stopping people who were flying in from outside the region.I think as a general rule as long as you are spending more time in the UK than in Thailand you will have no problem.
