Breakfasts

Post by richard »

As a late night reveler or an early morning riser where can you get a good Farang breakfast prior to 9 in the morning? Skip the hotel scene

All-In Hua Hin do a pretty good selection. Not sure what time they're open though. The food there is great and the owners are lovely.

There are 3 that I use - Bernies in the karoke area behind the Hilton , does a good English breakfast. Then ther's Victoria bar near san paulo and lastly ther's Crawfords, slightly more expensive but very good.

Dont think that Bernie is still doing an early morning, and no where esle is really open before 9am. Would agree that Victoria is good. Why not just take an extra Binta burger home and microwave it in the morning!

Who are you two trying to kid? 12 hours in the fridge? 12 hours squashed under a sofa cushion where you inadvertently left it after you staggered home & sat down to imbibe a nightcap before turning, in more like!! :D

12 hours stuck to your left cheek (face cheek that is) when you passed out on it in a drunken stupor.......

RC: You remind me of 'Men Behaving Badly' - what a great series.

Us girls would probably put together a cordon bleu dish, in a few minutes, eat the delicious meal, then wash up all the plates and saucepans before we went to be. Or would we....

Is Bernies still there? We used to use it regularly for breakfast. 2 or 3 holidays ago Bernies wife Noi told us that he was moving somewhere else. We've never been back there since (assuming he wasn't there).

Talk about shooting yourself in the foot.

I have just been discussing it with my wife, and she says that Bernie has definitely moved on - if the bar is still there, I guess it must be under different management.

Can somebody clarify please?

Yes, the aging adds a certain piquant quality as well as improving texture :thumb:

Thanks JW, that makes things a bit clearer. Maybe it wasn't a case of shooting herself in the foot - just trying to coax her husbands trade away.

I've enjoyed quite a few breakfasts up there, of particular memory is Sonkran when you could watch everything going on, but be far enough away to avoid the water. However, I don't think anywhere is far enough away to avoid your weapon.
