Youth Volunteer Hua Hin

Post by Erica »

My son is studying at Websters in Hua Hin, his major International Relations. He is coming up to a three month summer break and is looking for a suitable internship/volunteer program, preferably one which will augment his studies.

He is a native English speaker, so perhaps working as a volunteer in a local school would be a good idea?

Very grateful to anyone who has any ideas or contaccts.

Thanks to all.

Your son could volenteer to work a few hours a week in the dog rescue centre or their shop.

I know that is not what you wanted but if he could spare a few hours a week it would be of great help to Dawn

:)

Yes, Dawn was the first person I thought of. But I know my son. He simply could not handle it emotionally. He would not be able to handle the sadness. He is only sixteen. Dawn is in my mind much of the time and I am absolutely sure that things will work out at the Dog Shelter and for Dawn personally.

He could not handle it emotionally? Maybe its exactly what he needs then! Toughen him up to the harsh realities of the world! Just an observation - does your son have a say in any of this? Why does he need his mum to find a job for him? Surely if it was him rather than you creating this thread asking for voluntary work, it would look much better and would show initiative.

It won't work out if everyone had the same attitude. It would probably do your son the world of good to experience the pitfalls in life and know that now everything is perfect.
