Mozzarella

Post by Winkie »

I read sometime ago, of an Italian who has been making top quality Mozzarella in the HH area for the past 7 years.
He sells only to the trade, and to visitors.

I'd like to visit him, but now has lost the article.

Anyone know anything about him? Where he is? How to contact etc...

Any info greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Del Casaro, on Soi 10, by Hua Hin Hospital. When you turn into the Soi he is the first big building on your left.

The Mozzarella, I don't personally think is the best, it's a bit pale and lacking in flavour or consistency when cooked. However his Feta cheese is brilliant, and he does some smoked cheese that is divine with a ripe pear, grapes and a glass of wine. His fresh cream is probably the best I've tasted in Thailand.

the mozzarella factory was actually founded by the italian guy of delizie (near the night market): domenico sangiorgio, tel 032-530192

he sold his mozzarella stuff some time ago and is now mainly into supplying the top hotels here with italian food stuff.

he has great olives and other italian delicacies at delizie. also cheeses.
