And they nicked half of the forum's title. Then again, maybe I've got the years back to front.
What makes me laugh, amongst other things, are the advertisements. Look at The Oriental's on page 33. How things have moved on over the past 40 years.

Yes just after the 2nd ww Sukhumvit road was just rice fields and Bangkok had just 500.000 inhabitants and they lived in that part called china town now

Her is a very good site with some some photos in B and W, musik and other stuff from Korat during the viet war.....I realy like this site, it realy shows a different view of the life back then.

Philippe, some interesting old pictures there; Korat has changed an awful lot as I don’t recognize any of the shots of the city, but the some of the views in the surrounding countryside could still be found today in the more isolated areas.
