Looking for some places to stay in BKK. Just for a few days.
My single man haunts are no longer an option for reasons i wont bore you with.
So i was wondering if any body has some up to date advice/information?
Regarding places near any of the sky train stations as i will be taking the mini van from HH to Victory Monument and walking from there.
Cheers

Last time in BKK I stayed a few days at the "Dynasty Inn Grande" close to Nana station, which I can recommend.
It was good value for money (around 2200Bth/night), very clean, big rooms and huge bathrooms with showers and baths, nice restaurant with an outdoor terracce and bar, big TV screen in the room, quiet soi 4/6, just off Sukhumvit, swimmingpool.

Raja Hotel on Soi 4 is about 800. A bit worn down but still ok for your money.

Federal Hotel a little ways down Soi 11 isn't bad, about the same rates as Rajah. Nice coffeeshop too. Problem with Rajah is, you have to walk past Nana Plaza to get there...
There's also a serviced apartment block just before Federal, my brother used to stay there, try asking at the front office if they have vacancies.

Agree with Elem and Bircow - you can't go wrong with the Dynasty Inn Grande.
Couldn't be better location wise - step off the mini bus at Victory Monument and you could be checked in within 15-20 mins - the hotel's a five min walk from Nana station. It's a great hotel with fantastic rooms for the price - stayed there many times.
When it first opened around 18 months ago it was 1,800 baht per night but that went up to 2,200 when they completed the second wing of the hotel in October last year. Still great value for money and highly recommended.
