Loads of stuff there.
One in particular is Talking Heads. I went to university in 1977 and took a double album of theirs. 77/More Songs about Buildings and Food.
Then through "Fear of Music" and so on. A great band. I saw David Byrne play at The Royal Albert Hall years ago. A friend gave me the ticket. Tina Weymouth, Chris Frantz and Gerry Harrison weren't there, but David Byrne still came onto stage and did a solo of "Physco Killer".
The people there didn't understand why I got up and danced when he went into "Life in Wartime""
Up to them.
Rock and roll. "It's a long way to the top when you want......".

David Gilmour - On An Island. Blasting in our semi-open air kitchen via a wireless connection from the computer in another room. Hope the locals appreciate it as much as we do...
It certainly beats the boom-boom stuff they blast out at 7am on Sundays.

Yes talking heads one of my favourites got all the albums and plenty of videos. Favourite actually is ballad type song 'naive melody' and heaven. More songs about buildings and things good album also liked tom tom club and david byrnes foray into into world music, Rio Momo.

This month in the car:

Graham Parker - Squeezing Out Sparks (album)
David Gray - White Ladder (album)
Rodney Crowell - Fate's Right Hand (album)
Ray Lamontagne - Till The Sun Turns Black (album)
Joni Mitchell - Blue (album) + The Hissing Of Summer Lawns (album)
Jackson Browne - Saturate Before Using (the first album)
Steely Dan - Can't Buy A Thrill (the first album)
Chet Baker - Romantic Moments (album where he sings ballads)
Ron Sexsmith (selftitled album)
Steve Earle - Guitar Town (album)

And in between I turn the volume to max and wash my head with either Hendrix or Stevie Ray Vaughn.

Please give me ideas for August!

Buksida, if you like Snow Patrol try The Reindeer Section, Gary Lightbodys (singer and songwriter of Snow Patrol) side project with loads of other musicians from the Scottish music scene.

Does anyone remember a group named "Redbone"? I think they were British, although I've been told there was an American group of the same name that came later?

Years ago in the States when on high speed internet I tried to research them on places like Amazon, looking for a song I don't know the name of, but fell asleep to everynight on Armed Forces radio here back in 1970-72. I can hum it and it's etched in my mind forever, but I can't remember the damn name of it...LOL. Pete
