Dentist 2000
Anyone care to recommend anyone better? They seem to have gone downhill since last year, as they now regard me as a walking ATM, something I'm not so happy about.

I went to Dentist 2000 to have my teeth cleaned last year - they made my gums bleed. It was the most painful teeth clean I've ever had (and expensive!)
Found another dentist that was recommended to me and have been and he was great. Helpful, cheaper, spoke English and actually volunteered advice about the state of my teeth and gums and took his time to talk.
Can't remember the name, but he is on the corner of Sra Song Road and the little soi that has the sign for the youth hostel....? It's opposite the exit of the road from the shopping mall. (does that make sense?)

Went to get a wisdom tooth pulled out nearly two weeks ago.
Went to Dentist 2000 first and they informed me it was going to cost 3000 baht.
Tried the dentist opposite All In Hua Hin ( not Dr Nikorns, the other one ) I think the one which ADW is talking about and he was very good in my opinion, pulling the tooth out and giving advice on other treatments that I needed.
Total cost : 500 baht
Shall be going back on saturday for a few fillings. Will fill you in on the quality when it's finished.

Living in BKK for the last four years I've visited the dentist often to get my teeth cleaned. The price has never wavered being 400 baht every time. Last week I had a small filling done that did not require freezing and that was also 400 baht. These are Thai prices in BKK.
I had my mom and dad come and visit last christmas in HH and my mother age 74 had what she thought was a broken crown so she waited till she got to Thailand to get if fixed. Well it turned out that it was a broken bridge. Which required alittle more dential work and time. Although it was still cheep compared to western dentists I thought it a little on the pricey side being 24,000 baht. She returned home and her dentist said the work was find and of good value as it would have cost 72,000 baht back home.
Although it was still a bargin my mother was in extensive pain due to the doctor being very ruff and slashing her gums which in time she aquired an infection in her mouth. She returned to the doctor at Dentist 2000 and informed him of the infection and he perscribed an antibiodic. With her being allergic to penicilin she informed him of her condition and the doctor then gave her a perscription so she was of to the pharmacey to get it filled. The following day we were off to Siem Riep to see Ankgor and not untill we got there did we realize that the perscription that the doctor had given her had penicilin in it as her whole body from head to toe broke out in a rash. We then had to find a doctor in SR to get the correct perscription.
I was not impressed!

Dentist HH
I was also very disappointed ref Dental 2000. I had a recommendation to go to PRAESERT which is on the corner of Soi 45/1 (I think) Prachkasem Road HH (next to the garage), heading south . They were very professional and excellent value for money. I broke a tooth and they fixed it with a temp immediately and a crown 2 weeks later. Total cost 6,000 baht and no pain
I believe the female partner is a dentist to the Princess.
