The warm up matches were being shown in Crawfords, so I guess they'll be showing the real thing.

I fear for Wales but I live in hope. By the way, what do people think of our new kit?

Although Henson is now injured, he was not ever really considered by our coach Gareth 'Gypo' Jenkins.

If I state that Gypo is clueless it will mean one of two things will happen:

1. I will be proved right by a continuation of Wales' abject recent performances

2. I will be proved wrong by Gypo inspiring Wales to win the world cup

Either way, I will feel either smug or elated so it's a win-win scenario for me!

Big Boy, didn't you see Jaime's poster of Gavin Henson? As you can see he's lost a bit of muscle since his injury, but he's still one of the quicker Welsh backs... You'll also be interested to hear that Billet Beaumont is making a comeback for France!

(Jaime, good luck to Wales in the next few weeks! :thumb: )
This is the way

Given who was available who do you think should have been given the job if not Jenkins??

He was the obvious choice at the time with no other outstanding candidates from Wales or abroad. Having said that, there was talk (hearsay) of Sir Clive Woodward at the time and I would personally have preferred him. I think both Eddie Jones and Bob Dwyer were also available. Jenkins' record since taking over has been abysmal and his handling of the world cup warm up games in terms of a selection strategy was nonsensical.

There is talk of Dai Young going as part of the Lions coaching team for the next tour so he is apparently being groomed for the role, although it is, I believe, a few years premature. Lyn Jones is a bit of a joke but I don't think Paul Turner would make a bad fist of it. He's doing a good job at the Dragons with limited resources - exactly the sort of coach that Wales need.

Press Release
International Rugby Board (IRB) Rugby World Cup 2007

Following complaints to the IRB about the All Blacks being allowed to motivate themselves by performing the ‘Haka’ before their games, other nations were asked to suggest pre-match rituals of their own. The IRB Rugby World Cup 2007 Organizing Committee has now agreed to the following pre-match displays:

1) The England team will chat about the weather, wave hankies in the air and attach bells to their ankles before moaning about how they invented the game and gave it to the world, but no one appreciates them.

2) The Scotland team will chant “You lookin’ at me Jimmy?â€

Won't they let The Home Nations and the States to do nearly all the work on the field, and then demand that their Captain march into the in goal area first?

One game in and already a surprise result!!!

Looking forward to the the rest of the tournament - don't imagine it will be the only upset!!!!

Arrive in HH tomorrow night - Where are the crowds gathering to watch the matches?
