Heineken Cup - Quarter Final Draw

Post by Jaime »

Cardiff Blues excellent away 0-17 win over Bristol - the first time Bristol have been beaten at home in four months - meant they completed the group of eight teams who qualify for the quarter finals of the Heineken Cup in April, at the expense of pre-tourney favourites Stade Francais. Seeded 5th they face a tough away draw at 4th seeds Toulouse.

Heineken Cup quarter-finals:
Saracens v Ospreys
London Irish v Perpignan
Gloucester v Munster
Toulouse v Cardiff Blues

So, the quarter finalists are comprised of three English, two French, two Welsh and one Irish side.

Wooo-hoooo! C'monnnnnn Cardiff!!!!

Randy, Berny showed some of the games in his bar, he has access to the SA tv channel showing the games. You just need to ask. I watched the first Wasps Munster game there in November.

Cmon Munster.

It'll be interesting as the Ospreys stuffed Sarries in the EDF Anglo-Welsh cup last weekend. Heineken Cup is a different tournament though - don't know what strength sides were fielded in that last game.

I think the posts above have answered the question I was going to pose which is where can I see this weekends games in Hua Hin? Especially the Toulouse - Cardiff game on Sunday night (9pm Hua Hin time I think).

Anyone know if there are any other places to see the games? If I find out anything I'll post it here anyway.

In addition to Berny's, Butterfly Rock also has access to the South African channel that shows the Heineken Cup games.

However, I think this South African exclusive thing is a red herring because I am sat at home watching Sarries V Ospreys on Eurosport through the humble HH cable channel - channel 58 for those of you with HH cable. London Irish - Perpignan was on yesterday. Just hope the Cardiff - Toulouse game is on after Sarries - Ospreys, which is end to end at the moment.

Presumably the semis will get the same coverage from Eurosport on HH cable.
