prescription Medicines

Post by charlesh »

With the advance of years and a hopeless case for stem cell or genetic manipulation I find an increasing need for prescription medicines. Are U able to buy Avapro (high blood pressure) and Xalatan eye drops "over the counter" in HH or do U need to have a script? If the later R U able to get 6 monthly renewables in HH or R U forced to go on the frequent medical practicioner merry go round visitations so popular here in Oz.

PS For what it is worth I'm sorry too !! - for the aboriginals (oops Kooris) and for the state of the world, Japanese whale researchers, global warming and the Archbishp of Canterbury.
That's enough "Mea culpa" for today!

Definitly sell Avpro or Equivilant. Had a problem with my GF running out of them, Went to this Chemist, showed him the box and he sorted all out for me. No need perscription, buy over the counter
Pharmacy is the Daily Pharmacy he works from early in the morning till late in the evening. Owner very well specialised in his line of work, fluent English, and very fair prices, near San Paulo Hospital. 174/10 Phetkasem Road Hua Hin 77110. Contact: Tel. 032-533309 Mob. 086-6260364
Go to the little surgery type office at the side of the shop and see them main man there and he will sort it out for you. He will then direct the assistants what to give you.
Hope that helps

Whatever you do need make sure you go to a good pharmacy.

Some of the smaller pharmacies could have bought, knowingly or not, copy or counterfeit pharms....check the packaging and patient info leaflet carefully (look for holograms, braille coding, batch imprints etc on the boxes).

Pharmaceutical counterfeiting in SE Asia is rife. Mostly its ED drugs like Cialis and Viagra that get copied, but drugs like Lipitor are also being copied now.

A bloke who drinks in a bar I frequent was chatting to me and the landlord a month or so ago and showed us what he had been supplied by a small local pharmacy. He was a bit worried by the fact the box didnt have the leaflet inside.

I took a look at the box and blisters and told him to take the pharms back - they were cheap counterfeit copies.

I buy Avapro every month or two at Tesco with no problems, have never been ask for a script. If you want like a 6 month supply let them know and they will order it for you if they don't have it on hand. The same applies to every prescription drug I have wanted, no script required.
