Even though I have lived abroad for a few years, I know nothign about Hua Hin.

You can find a house near the beach, there are many.
You will not like the price.
Yes, you can set up a business. Bars and restaurants are ideal businesses for foreigners to have. Just get a Thai woman to do all the paperwork and put it in her name to make things easy.
Life is terrible for expats in HH. They are leaving in droves.
