Aggresive posts and the smartest person on HHAD

As an - irregular/infrequent/occasional - poster/contributor/donor - I would - like to/love to point - out/in/shake it all about, - that - a number/amount/selection – of - regular/habitual/frequent - posters/contributors/donors - appear to - think/imagine/consider - themselves to have - better/more relevant/more appropriate - opinions/views/belief and judgement - than other - former/previous - posters/contributors/donors - who dare to - have the nerve/have the cheek/have the guts - to express/state/articulate – said - opinions/views/belief - on this - forum/debate/discussion.

This - includes/comprises/contains - attacks/confrontations/challenges - to the - way/manner/method - some/several/all - of these - irregular/infrequent/occasional – posters - express/state/mention - things.

The - nitpicking/carping/finicky - posts/entries/submissions – from - regular/habitual/frequent - posters (I’m getting fed up now) regularly pick out individual words (that’s why I provided lots of alternatives) and often deliberately take them out of context before throwing them back at the original poster asking them to clarify to the Nth degree. There unfortunately seems to be a section of current HHAD regulars who think that everyone who gets in a pickle, has some sort of problem, expresses opinions or who asks for certain advice, is fair game and they attack the foolishness of that person. Just like a school bully would, knowing his buddies will back him up.

The world and Hua Hin is full of foolish people. Most of them know it after the event and they probably don’t need reminding. I’m referring to recent property section debates and restaurant reviews where certain people have had pelters for having problems not all of their own making or for expressing opinions on a restaurant. If everyone was as smart as the smartest person on HHAD, (who would that be I wonder) then life would be dull.

Give the dumb guys a break and reduce the aggressive posts.

Don’t bother asking me to produce the proof/give examples/explain myself. Just read some of the posts and you’ll see for yourself.

I haven't been on this board for long so haven't yet experienced the squishy tomatoes you're alluding to. IMHO it's par for the course on most boards for the resident trolls to claim ownership and 'run interference' on every post. Their posting addictions usually highlight an empty existence, a nagging spouse, a need to bolster their low self esteem or they are ex-service, ex-police, who have never got the piss-taking culture out of their system.

An 'ignore' feature usually does the trick. Either that or a smarter poster eventually comes along to steal their crown.

I would like to give you my resume
1. I have lived 365 a year in Hua Hin for 10.5 years
2. I first came to Thailand 23 years ago
3. I worked with a company that gave me FREE flights every year
4. I could accumulate 9 weeks in Thailand each year
5. I used the above to do my research before I came here 12 years of research by the way
6. I retired to sit on my arse at the ripe old age of 50 because I saved and planned for it Oh and I haven’t worked a day since or any business of any type i have never won a lottery or any money and have never been left any in a will i did it using my brain and damned hard work (now wasn’t that dumb and stupid)
7. I have had 2 Thai wives spanning 23 years
8. Oh and age 18 I went round the world twice with the army picking up a few tips on living in foreign countries as I went (from age 18 to 61 max 6 years in the UK)

And despite all that experience I still got ripped off for a 2,000,000 baht 4 bedroom 9 floors beach house with its own private beach

But hey I will bow to your superior intellect as you have no doubt been able to accumulate all that experience in your few short years here or over there

Question
1. could it be that some of us spent a lot of time in 2006 dispensing advice ad nausea that was totally ignored
2. Could it be in 2006 when you were not posting I was taking heavy flak for trying to pull developers/estate agents for not telling it all, making misleading statements and in a few instances downright lies
3. Could it be that some are aiming at informing a wider audience than just the post they are replying to I know I do
4. could it be that having been ignored we are trying harder to stop people making the same mistakes
5. Could it be that the backers come from the same place
