I took my staff out for some laughs and lunacy at Luk Nam last night. IMO, this place is rocking !!! If you haven't tried it yet, round up your Thai friends and go have some fun. THe music is fantastic...mostly thai country, but they throw a few farang songs out as well. The food is great and the drinks are cheap. 15 thais and one handsome farang, ate and got toally plasterd for 4000...bargain IMO...give it a try...this is real thailand!!!
My only advice...this isn't soi bindtabat...dont expect the girls to be crawling all over you...

Music good and food good
The guy who runs the place plays the bongos and speaks good English and at the close tends to wander round the tables chatting
He's open for request too providing they are well know and he prefers heavy rock

just a brilliant place and they don't play bloody hotel california.
I tend to think when they play a farang tune its a bit of a statement to say"we could play this stuff all night but we choose not to".Does anyone else get that impression?
The waiting staff all look like mafioso drug dealers(guess thats a bandana on an oriental look) but they are top notch. You can't get half way through your beer before they're filling it again. Best night out in Hua Hin by far but beware the toilet massage!!!!!!!
