People are asking Boris the same.
Maybe with Macron winning on Sunday the EU is more secure and, by default, the UK isn’t.
It’s no more than a guess.

LOL, I did it again. Transferred early today at just over 43. Look what happened immediately after I transferred:

The forecast is pretty bleak with the pound expected to be at parity (or almost) with the dollar by the end of the year and no change from that in the foreseeable.

Pretty bleak is describing the UK with so much optimism it's not true.

I made a snap decision today. I normally transfer cash around the 10th of the month. The forecasts are quite dire for GBP and it's down against the US dollar. However the dollar is high against the baht so we get in on their shirt tails.

Anyway, despite the fall in the dollar, the exchange rate to baht has improved over the last few days due to the strong dollar. Assuming this is temporary and reading reports that the UK Economy is tanking, I bit the bullet and transferred 6 months cash today. I got an exchange of 43.61. Will my gamble pay off. Knowing my luck, the baht to the pound is probably going to climb well above what I got.
We'll see. Hopefully I made the right 'gut' decision.

Its written on the side of this page - 44.

Though rates will vary depending on where you exchange it here - you'll get stung at the airport and in tourist places. I've found the best place to swap cash is Superrich in Bangkok.

The best place in Hua Hin is in Market Village at the Twelve Victory exchange booth on the basement level near the building entrance

Mid market rate is 43.1373 as of now.

46? Must be looking in the wrong column.
