I presume this is a cash Stg/ Baht transaction,
The closing bank rate in Hua Hin today at Kasikorn was Buy 42.3 and Sell 43.9 - about 46 was rubbish!!

Not necessarily rubbish. I believe Den is still in the UK, so it could be a rip off UK exchange rate.

There was a time when BoE raising the base rate might have had slightly more effect.

The pound is taking a real hammering opening today at just 42. and just $1.14 to the pound.
For once, unusually, I did the right thing by taking several months money back in June. I got 43.60 at the time.
I usually transfer monthly on the 10th and so far I'm winning. I dread to think what the rate will be when I next have to transfer!

Thankfully I moved everything out of sterling before it dived.

Huge fall in the pound just now. Becoming worthless.
Completely devalued my £ portfolio. Need to start investing in USD.
How are Brit-retirees coping right now?

It did go above 43 a few days earlier but Truss brought it down. She's gonna be good at that!
