You can keep quiet and let people think you're an idiot or open your mouth and avoid any doubt.

Why not just be helpful ?

Yikes!
I sure wouldn't want to skateboard here.
Just walking can get your ankle broken what with sinking bricks, metal pipes, electrical conduits etc. all over the place.

Big C in Petchaburi sell them although the quality of the bearings is somewhat crap!!!!!!!!!!!!

I bought my eldest son a skateboard whilst working in Taiwan several years ago. The bearings are superb and it flies.

When son number two wanted one, the only place I could find was Big C. The price was far cheaper - but then the quality was also inferior.

They sell them in most of the Bangkok department stores and sports shops.

Thanks Terry.

Sorry Randy if I touched a nerve but shooting down a child's question (not that you were to know, but it would've been a reasonable deduction) isn't clever.

I saw some in the large Sports shop in the Premium Outlet about 10km North of Cha-Am a couple of days ago.

No idea about quality or price as I was looking at golf clubs.

Actually, it didn't do. No.2 was practising his 'Ollies' (don't ask me WTF one of those is!) and the front axle succumbed to metal fatigue and fell apart. Luckily he was able to steer it clear of the school before crashing into the clothes drier and a concrete elephant.

Next time we'll buy Boeing!

Arse. :(

Not sure if you get up to BKK often but as one post said, sometimes Central will have stock. If you want to find out from die-hard skaters, there is the Red Bull Skate Park on Sathorn (just past soi 2 the immigration soi). i read a short article and it says they have a pro-shop, although i've only been past the place. looks like they might have more of an inline skating focus. [Central always has a limited but quality supply of inline skates]

The Red Bull Skate Park is located on Sathorn Road, opposite Soi Convent and BNH Hospital. It is open daily from 10 am to 9 pm, except on Tuesday. Admission is only 50 baht per day. In-line instruction is available Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 5:30, Saturday and Sunday at 3:30. The cost is 2,400 baht for 20 hours of classes. On site facilities include a first aid room, shower, lockers, diner, coffee shop, and pro-shops.
