Lots of Scots are supporting Trinidad and Tobago at this World cup.
Hey come on, that's not fair, we can accept you supporting one team in the World Cup, but picking two is bang out of order.
Nail your colours to the mast here and now, do you want Trinidad or Tobago ??

The only certainty here is that I won't watch any of it ! Footy has to be the most boring sport in the world, jersey tugging louts like Rooney hacking down the opposition, blowhard myopic commentators who have the trophy in the cupboard before England have even set foot on the pitch.......

ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ ! WHAT A BORE. :guns:

why you are statistically 33% worse than us
I'm not really sure how the Scottish Education System works, but:

In all Scotland vs England games (since 8 Mar 1873) the Scottish record is reasonable ie:

Played 110, Won 41, Drawn 24, Lost 45

Over the last 50 Years

Played 56, Won 14, Drawn 8, Lost 34

In the last 20 Years

Played 7, Won 1, Drawn 1, Lost 5

Even a mere TIT can spot the trend. If a record like the above makes Scotland 33% better than England, then I sincerely apologise - Scotland must have been odds on favourites for the Kirin Cup, and should not have been made to qualify for the World Cup.

I give in, you must be right :? :? :? :? :?

I sincerely hope that both Trinidad and Tobago are equally as good as Scotland in the World Cup

Big Boy, thanks for the photo. Will England have 2 or 3 days of such wonderful weather this year ?
Kraka's Dad. Ohhh PULEASE. One Rugby World Cup in how many attempts ?? One, admittedly deserved, Ashes Series in how many years ???
Recent Commonwealth Games - remember them, all sorts of sports - pushed Australia's medal tally further ahead of Englands. All time medal results currently have Australia in 1st place with 643 Gold, 556 Silver and 508 Bronze - total 1707, England in 2nd with 579 Gold, 553 Silver and 563 Bronze - total 1695. Looks like you're better at coming 3rd than we are, we'll live with that.
How about Men's Tennis ? At #10. L. Hewitt (Aus), #40. G. Rusedski (GBR)
Women's Tennis ? #50. S. Storur (Aus), GBR none in top 100.
Men's Golf ? #8. A. Scott (Aus), #10. L. Donald (Eng)
Women's Golf ? #4. K. Webb (Aus), #49. K. Stupples (Eng)
Men's Lawn Bowls ? #1. S. Glasson (Aus), #2. M. Walton (Eng).

God, I'm boring me. Do I need to go on ?? Why have so many English people followed the early examples and taken assisted passage to Australia? Why have so many people from all over the world moved there and continue to try to, despite our somewhat draconian immigration policies ? Simply put, it's the 2nd best place to be ( Sorry, have to admit I like living in LOS ). And it gives people the lifestyle and opportunities to be THE BEST IN THE WORLD. :D :D :D

Perente,

Just remember, you're only as good as your last:

Rugby World Cup

Ashes

I thought your original comment was Australia's ability to win their first football world cup...............just watch out for that frozen rocking horse shit on Soi Binthabat

England..... Hmmm.... Singaporeans are very much incline towards them, especially the ladies. How not to when they screen all the live matches every week & the repeat telecast everyday....... :cuss:
Gerald is world class & so is Lampard, carragher & Terry is superb. Instead of the 11 a side soccer, can we have 4-on-4 like those they have in the street basketball, maybe then, England stands a Chance.
Wayne Rooney - Rate him a 5.5, lacks the striker instinct in front of the goal mouth, seen him miss alot during premier league.
Owen - Over the hill, losing his pace which brought him into the world stage. A definite push over when playing the bigger guys.
Beck-ham - Always feel that he is over rated, over paid over expose. He just do not have what it takes to be the captain not to mention the penalty he miss during the last world cup.
Cambell(Soup?) - He should not be in the team with all due respect but his days is over.
Fur-de-nun - As fleshy as beck-ham but do not have the committment to the team.

Bottomline - If unless Gerald & Lampard scores 3 golas each in every match, guess you England supporters got to wait another 4 years

Wanderlust.

I think this is the Christian Dailly you refer to.

The following extract was taken from the official website of the FA Premier League

CHRISTIAN DAILLY

CLUB - WEST HAM UNITED

POSITION - DEFENDER

PROFILE

A committed and experienced Scotland international defender, he joined West Ham United from Blackburn Rovers for £1.75million in January 2001. He established himself as a top-class central defender at Derby before his £5.3million switch to Blackburn. Strong in the air and in the tackle, he skippered his country for the first time in 2002.

The following extract was apparently taken from BBC Scotland news online on 11 September 2003.

Christian Dailly: A F******g apology

"Christian Dailly looks certain to avoid disciplinary action for his four-letter tirade against the Germans live on BBC television."

"I would like to apologise unreservedly for calling the German team "f******g cheats" immediately after the game on Wednesday night.

I understand that my comments, made in the heat of the moment, were overheard by BBC mikes used in interviewing our manager Bertie Vogts and I’m glad that the offending phrases were successfully bleeped out.

Although there is no excuse for my conduct, I can only plead that the outburst came at the end of a match where the German team
systematically misled the referee at every turn, making the most innocuous tackle seem like a sending off offence.

That this type of cynical play is tolerated at the highest levels of world football surely points to the need for a FIFA ruling on play-acting and clear directions given to referees to crack down on this un -sporting behaviour.

None of this can however justify my conduct after the game and I would like to apologise directly to the German team for calling them "f*****g cheats".

On reflection, I realise that what I should have called them was "F*****g, cheating, diving b******s" and I appreciate the opportunity to now set the record straight.

Thank you."

Adrian.........................well what can I say?
they screen all the live matches every week & the repeat telecast everyday
What a coup! The TV schedulers certainly know a good thing when they see it. Daily doses of English football - heaven.
Gerald is world class
We've also got quite a good player called Stevie Gerrard - did you see last Saturday's goals?
Instead of the 11 a side soccer, can we have 4-on-4
I'm going yo let you into a secret that you mustn't spread around. England have a secret weapon that the rest of the world doesn't know about yet. He's so secret, he hasn't even been let loose on the Premiership. So fast he could have won any of those events Perente listed earlier. English football has been blessed with Theo Walcott - worth 7 players in any other team.

Remember the last secret weapon? Geoff Hurst didn't really burst upon the scene until the World Cup final - and did he kick some arse?

You can look forward to a real feast of football from England in the coming weeks.

And while we're looking for the fabled rocking horse........last time Australia played England in a soccer "friendly", didn't Australia win the first half, change of English team at half time, and Australia wins the second half as well. Anytime, any sport, any arena, ya get a few lucky ones, but we'll be back.................. :guns: :guns:

Perente,

I've already tried to explain the difference between friendlies and real football - they don't tackle in friendlies.

Blue nose,
campbell..( nutcase )...
Adrian Tan,
Cambell(Soup?) - He should not be in the team with all due respect but his days is over
Are either of watching the European Champions League Final? Not bad for a crazy can of soup.............eh :guns: :guns:

If that's what the crap players in the squad can do against the world's best, what will England's world class players do against the mediocrity of some of the other teams?............You must really be looking forward to that footballing feast.

...........Okay, I know, that was a half time posting - they lost! With only 10 men on the field, like Perente in an earlier post, I had to do my crowing while I could.

Still, it was a very good goal (especially for an old crock) against world class opposition.
