In my home country we have halogen spotlights with built-in sensors. Halogen "tubes" may vary from 100 - 500 watt. Sensors are infrared, turning on the spot when a movement is detected. They may be set to be turned on from 1 - 10 minutes.
Would love to have a few around the house and in the carport but I have not seen them in Hua Hin shops. Apparently Home Pro doesn't have them.
Anybody out there know where in HH to get them?? I don't need alternative suggestions - only the real McCoy! Any assistance is appreciated:D

Fairly certain you can get them at Thai Watsadu, the store that is about 15 km's outside HH heading towards Cha Am.Pedro C wrote:In my home country we have halogen spotlights with built-in sensors. Not looked in Home Pro or Thai W recently for said items. But surprised HP do not stock them, as they used to have both 100w and 500w versions.
Brought a 500w PIR unit at HP about 2 years ago for my bedroom patio.
The point of this is (slightly off topic) that home pro also sell a small (and large) fire bell, the round red type, which can be wired into the lights auxiary curcuit. Cheap imports and not marked with voltage but are 240V, found through trial and error. Bell has isolation switch in bedroom.
Have it set for only 30 secs, when it goes off I am never quick enough to see what I presume to be cats.
Gives great peace of mind to sleep with the doors open and just the flyscreens.
Seldom does it go off, think the cats must be aware.
Best of luck with your search.

Home Pro usually have them. Hook a left as you walk in and they are/were about 20m up the side aisle. The electrical shops on the Palau road also have them. Opposite side to 7/11 past the school heading from town.
