New to hua hin
Hello guys,
Nice to see such a wonderful forum. I am looking to move to hua hin fand probably settle down with a thai girl(haven't found one ..definitely not bargirl) (me still in the 30s). This is my plan.
- May i know how is the public transport like over in hua hin?
Or do you guys recommend having my own motor/vehicle?
- if i would to buy a condo, how much will be the monthly maintenance fee be like? Do i need to pay for property tax?
Are all these condo freehold?
- food wise. Care to share how much does it cost for a simple meal ? eg. chicken + rice meal set
- i read that there is a rail way. Is it the best option to take to bangkok and other area of thailand/ or outside thailand?
- as for the airport, does it fly to other countries ?
Thanks in advance.

Aside from the crazy driving... yeah very safe.
Obviously the same rules apply as everywhere else.... keep your wits about your, don't get rolling around the floor drunk and keep your wallet in a safe place.
I generally feel a lot safer in Thailand than I do going out in the U.K. at night.

Re: New to hua hin
yeah a few cyclists going about but I would strongly dissuade anyone from cycling in busier areas of town due to the bad driving. There are also some expats that do a little off-road mountain biking if that takes your fancy.... There are some good bike shops in town if you wish to buy.
Hua Hin is quite a big place so cycling as a sole means of transport will limit you somewhat. Public transport IS available though.

Hi Eden8 and welcome.
In answer to a couple of your questions:
Transport depends on how much travelling you intend to do. Personally, if I lived in HH, I would own my own car/truck as I like to travel around the area, out into the countryside etc. But if you intend to stay mainly in the city, then maybe a small motorcycle/scooter would suffice?
I have to agree with GN, that I feel a lot safer in HH than I do anywhere in the UK, generally speaking.
Ive not used HH airport, but Bangkok airports are only 2/3 hours drive away (avoiding rush hour traffic) and will cater to your flight requirements.
I hope this is of some help.

Ok sorry to doubt you, although most of your questions have been asked many times before. Have you tried to search for any answers?eden8 wrote:Dannie Boy wrote:Are you sure our new friend eden8 is genuine - sorry to doubt him, but?
