Colour code same as April.

My understanding is that many places are closed tomorrow, May 9, including but not limited to all Government offices.

There is nothing scheduled for the month of June 2019.

Just to point out that Monday 20th May is a substitute holiday for Visakha Bucha which falls on Saturday 18th. So the associated religious no booze day should be the 18th.

NEW QUEEN’S BIRTHDAY DESIGNATED AS PUBLIC HOLIDAY
The government on Tuesday declared Her Majesty Queen Suthida’s birthday a national holiday.

The new holiday, which falls on June 3, is effectively immediately, an official told the media. Queen Suthida recently married King Vajiralongkorn on May 1.

The government has yet to decide whether the birthday of the previous reigning queen, August 12, will remain a public holiday. As the wife of the late King Bhumibol, former queen Sirikit was reassigned the royal title of Queen Dowager on May 5.

The cabinet has approved the designation of May 4 as the Coronation Day and public holiday.

It also acknowledged 19 official public holidays. In addition to the 16 official holidays during the reign of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great, three more holidays were added — His Majesty the King’s Birthday (July 28), Her Majesty the Queen’s Birthday (June 3) and King Bhumibol Adulyadej Memorial Day (Oct 13).

The 19 holidays are:

New Year’s Day (Jan 1)
Makha Bucha Day (full moon in February)
Chakri Memorial Day (April 6)
Songkran (April 13-15)
Coronation Day (May 4)
Royal Ploughing Ceremony Day (May, to be specified)
Visakha Bucha Day (full moon in May)
Queen’s Birthday (June 3)
Asaha Bucha Day (full moon in July)
Beginning of Lent Day (first waning moon in July)
King’s Birthday (July 28)
Queen Mother’s Birthday and National Mother’s Day (Aug 12)
King Bhumibol Memorial Day (Oct 13)
King Chulalongkorn Memorial Day (Oct 23)
King Bhumibol’s Birthday Anniversary, National Day and National Father’s Day (Dec 5)
Constitution Day (Dec 10)
New Year’s Eve (Dec 31).

Dec 5 keeps special status

https://www.bangkokpost.com/news/genera ... s#cxrecs_s

The Royal Gazette has declared Dec 5 as one of the country's most important days, marking three significant occasions.

Citing a command by His Majesty the King, it announced the day is to be commemorated as His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great's birthday, the country's National Day, as well as Father's Day.

(The below would include Immigration HQ at Chaeng Watthana.)

The Cabinet has approved November 4 and 5 as official holidays, but only for Bangkok and Nonthaburi areas, to alleviate traffic congestion at the 35th Asean Summit and Related Summits to be held at Impact Muang Thong Thani, deputy government spokeswoman Traisulee Traisoranakul said on Tuesday.

“Government agencies in Bangkok and Nonthaburi will stop working on these dates,” she said.

“Meanwhile, state enterprises and the Bank of Thailand will consider announcing November 4 and 5 as holidays for their subsidiaries on case-by-case basis. However, government agencies which have a necessity to provide urgent or previously scheduled services to their clients that cannot be postponed may stay open on November 4 and 5, depending on the decision by the heads of these departments,” she added.

Below is just an early FYI. I'll add this into the December notification post at the end of next month.

Extra day added to year-end holiday

The Cabinet has approved December 30 (Monday) as a public holiday, adding an extra day to the year-end break which will now be running from December 28 (Saturday) to January 1 (Wednesday) or a total of 5 days, according to Government spokeswoman Narumon Pinyosinwat.

Heads of state agencies will decide if employees can take the day off, depending on whether it will have an impact on the general public.

Update: Early indications are that most banks will be open on December 30. More specific information will be posted when available.

Be alert for December 6 as well. Many International schools are using December 6 as a substitute day for the December 10 Constitution Day. I would imagine others will take off December 6 as well, and if able Monday December 9 to link it with Constitution Day on December 10. Potential for a 6 day long weekend.

I imagine Hua Hin will be full during that period.
