Hi,
I'm sure the question may have been asked many times, but not finding it, so apologies.
Moving to Hua Hin later in the year looking at tv options. True seems silly prices, at least for premium service. I'm really wanting the British channels, a few extras would be good.
Is my best option to buy a smart TV and get a VPN or are there other options ? I don't mind paying small subscriptions. Nothing too technical please Thanks
British tv channels
Re: British tv channels
I use a VPN (Express VPN) for major UK channels, and Subscribe to True ID (free) with a small add on subscription for UK Premier League football.
I use the VPN mainly for catch up - personally I don't find it too good for live streaming, although others are happy.
There are good free streaming services e.g. https://www.doofootball.com/?fbclid=IwA ... -jhi523cUw for things like live football, but I prefer to pay a little for perfect viewing (I think it works out to be about 400฿/month, but well worth it).

Re: British tv channels
It really all depends on whether you want all the sports channels.
If you're happy with just the free-to air range of channels, I've found TV Mucho to be the best option. Legal, reliable and low subscription.
Re: British tv channels
Thanks for the replies so far. Both those options are helpful and the sorts of subscription costs I'm happy with.
Re: British tv channels
I use https://transponder.tv/pricing.
They are based in Australia - I pay monthly using my Thai bank debit card. Only one sports channel, though

Re: British tv channels
Buy an IPTV box before you leave and get a subscription, I pay £40 per year and it has everything you could ever need to watch.

Re: British tv channels
There are various vendors out there offering all British channels including sport, film, vod, catch-up, pay per view, etc. The charges vary but an average is about 50-60 pounds a year which can be paid per month, per 3 months, etc. Some services need a special IPTV box and others work on any Android box. If you don't wish to buy a special IPTV box there are apps available in the Google store which emulate IPTV on Android. These work just as good as an IPTV box. Android boxes are much cheaper than IPTV boxes and there is a massive variety available. A Smart TV has Android built in but it doesn't always work for streaming services.
