New Bakers Shop, Soi 88
New Bakers Shop, Soi 88
I was driving down Soi 88 this morning (from Hin Lek Fai direction). As I came into the more civilized section, I noticed what was little more than a wooden shed on the left, but it seemed to be selling quite a variety of different breads.
I was wondering if any of you guys had tried it, and what the bread was like. Also, where does the bread come from, because it can't be cooked on the premises.

Not tried it as I don't eat bread but I do believe it is cooked on premises.
Just before you hit the little hut there is a larger establishment with a sign on saying 'bakery' in another language, maybe German.
The selling hut opens twice a day, morning and evening by the looks of it.

We have had several loaves from there and they have been lovely. He has small and large baguettes which are 20 baht and 30 baht respectively. He is open until he has sold everything. Yes the bakery is there in the larger building.
Re: New Bakers Shop, Soi 88
Went to get a loaf this morning and a new shop is opening soon. It is much bigger than the present shop and is just to the side and behind it. There are table and chairs outside so there will obviously be serving food there as well.

Re: New Bakers Shop, Soi 88
Can anyone give me a better idea of the exact location. Was thinking the other day that Soi 88 needed a bakery for bread. This is good news. I hope the baguettes are as good or better than Yamazaki.
Re: New Bakers Shop, Soi 88
Hopefully moja can. I was driving, and it didn't register what I'd seen until I'd passed. I could find it easily, but couldn't give directions at the moment.

Over the train tracks on soi 88 take immediate right. Travel 1km approx.
The bakery shop is a little wooden hut on the right, directly opposite the only Family Mart on 88.
If you reach the temple entrance in your right or the Hin Lek Fai turn off you've gone too far.

Slightly off-topic (sorry folks)..but over the 'Festive period' Big C on the Pala U Rd doubled the price of their croissants..
Well they have dropped the price again..there's 3 sizes..but the mid-size that I buy are now 6B each
(& have a nice buttery taste).
Will have to check out this new place tho..

A customer of mine is a friend of this baker, I assume its the same one, she dropped off a bag of different rolls/baguettes as a thank you. So good, its been a while since I've had really good bread...going to be a bloated day
There is a leaflet in the bag - Pang Farm, opposite family mart soi 88

Re: New Bakers Shop, Soi 88
Do we really need one more bakery ??
Re: New Bakers Shop, Soi 88
I would think so, depending on the quality of the product..
If it is going to produce quality bread, I would use it, as even the best bread I've had in Hua Hin is not up to my personal UK tastes/standards. However I must admit, that since starting this thread, I still haven't got off my backside to try this one
Its on my 'to try' list.

Yes we do need another baker when they are as good as this one! We do not have a bakers on Soi 88 so why should we not have one. Big Boy try it sometime it is well worth a taste.
