I stayed there for 3 months. One of the best locations you can get right on the Takiab beach. Most customers are German. Free shuttle bus up to Hua Hin. Rooms basic but clean (travel lodge standard). I say GO FOR IT!

Three of my friends booked Blue Wave several months ago, and after one night, moved next door to Anantasila. They felt that Blue Wave just wasn't good value for the money. But I've never been inside, so I don't know.

The beach location is great but is about 7kms out of town. There are a couple of bars around the area and a fantastic seafood resteraunt on a boat in the fishing village.
If you want to be amongst the bar action it is a bit far out. if you want a quiet relaxing holiday, will be just up your alley

Anantasila does look better - I've never tried there.
