Kazaa and Limewire
Kazaa & Limewire. I have had no sucess connecting Limewire althoug it installs OK. Kazaa will not re0install after a recent rebuild of my machine.
I have now read that the services have been suspended somehow. I do not have time to read through the mountains of news on the subject. I was hoping someone out there may have some recent information.
So does anybody have any recent news on these two services.

I stopped using Kazaa years ago, still have Limewire but often find that many of the files are scrambled so don't use that either. I have always found Bittorrent to be pretty good but be aware that many Thai ISP's are now blocking that also.

There must be lots of people in Hua Hin that have large music collections, perhaps we could share them with each other?
Any one up for this I've around 40 gig of mainly rock music and its growing. Perhaps one of the bar owners could host a master drive that we all put our collections on and we copy off, I would be willing to chip in for a big hard drive.
what do people think?
Rob
This has been tried before but certain unscrupulous characters copy it all and sell it on to other bars.
I have around 300 gig and would be happy to trade for stuff not in the collection.

Kazaa went "legit" after having to pay RIAA bazzilions of dollars in damages. Similar deal to the one Napster made with them a while agoGuess wrote:Kazaa will not re0install after a recent rebuild of my machine.

The views expressed here are my own.......and bloody good they are too !!!! :)
When the bar is done - if ever! I would be happy to have a master drive, available to selected people (who wont sell what they get) access has to be monitiored closely as i have had 3 computers go bang because all and sundry were messing with them. Maybe the computer guys can come up with some sort of password to allow people to up and download from the hard drive - any suggestions?
Can do, we'll have a chat when I'm next in town.
As you can imagine I'm a little paranoid about my music collection now since I hear most of it whenever I go into a bar with a PC jukebox.

I use limewire quite a lot but it does tend to hog your machine so I usually use it when I'm asleep
