Thanks, Pete. I'd posted this on another thread:

I've just watched 4 hours of the '2020' Olympic opening ceremony. Considering the situation I think they did very well. Nothing like previous ceremonies but a success all the same.
No spectators. This will be an event watched around the world on TV including Tokyo. It said to have cost Japan 20 billion dollars with little income apart from sponsorships.

I enjoyed it.

What is the best TV channel for following the Olympics here in Thailand please? I'm currently trying to watch Japan vs GB ladies football via my usual footie source and it's painful.

Thank you. It doesn't seem to resolve my footie problem, but yes, BBC should do nicely for what I need.

As DM has stated - it can be watched on BBC/iPlayer or several streams (though you avoid them BB). Personally I will avoid like the plague - should have been cancelled, feel sorry for the athletes, but let's be fair - what a crock....

Actually, GB ladies were moving the ball about very well. Their football was very good. I was surprised.

Watched a bit of the women's football so far. There's only a few athletes I want to try and catch when they're on this year. Simone Biles in the gymnastics. UK entry, 13 year old Sky Brown, in the skateboarding. New Zealand's Laurel Hubbard in the weightlifting...

Missed the opening ceremony. I'll catch it on YouTube one day. Opening ceremonies are usually great! But, if I'm reading the tone correctly, I don't think Piers Morgan was a fan.

Panipak "Tennis" Wongpattanakit of Thailand wins a gold medal in taekwondo, earning the first gold for her country and for any Association of Southeast Asian Nations member at the 2020 Summer Olympics.
That puts them 5th on the leader board. Of course they'll not get higher but they can shout about it today.

China already in front with 3 x gold and 1 bronze.

Piers Morgan is a media whore who will say anything to be noticed. If there was a wankwomble event he would win the gold medal "hands down". :naughty:
