Re: Need a Thai restaurant recommendation!

Just a follow up... The last night in Hua Hin we opted for non-Thai and went to 'Margaritas' on Soi 72. For unknown reason it has a very high rating on Tripadvisor. The place is rather small, the menu is small too (which is good!), prices are a bit over basic Thai food option, but still ok (>200/hea...

Re: Need a Thai restaurant recommendation!

Well, grotty.... maybe lets say very basic. Which I totally don't mind, but sometimes get overruled. This said, I tried it tonight. It was quite busy with a number of customers, incl one large group. The menu is quite nice. Beside a good Thai selection they have also some pasta and steak dishes. A p...

Re: Need a Thai restaurant recommendation!

....and another update. Rom Mai looked a little grotty for Xmas eve and we went to nearby Janlerm. The place looks quite new. Food is Thai only, menu is rather small - but it was good food and very modestly priced. May try Rom Mai another time - their menu looked good too. Due to a family member tha...

Why not publish them here as well?
I'm just here with an iPhone and hate small screen postings, plus the iPhone takes only full size images and I would need to resize them before posting, which I would if I had a PC.

Will do! My first stop was the Backyard Steak. Have to admit I expected a bit more. But for B189 ok I guess.

Re: Mobile data SIM package without contract? (for smartphon

So than how about with no contract? Can I just buy a SIM (with data) and pop it in - and if funds run out recharge it?

I guess hotels will have Wifi or Ethernet connection, but it's sweet to have Google Maps while getting lost outside.

Re: DONER KEBAB MEAT SUPPLIERS IN HUA HIN

Doner kebab (Turkish: döner kebabı) is a Turkish dish... ...and seems to be very hard to find in good quality in Asia. But on the topic of Turkish food (and sorry for the little hijack) can you buy Yufka in Thailand? And I mean the HUGE Yufka sheets for making Su Böreği. Currently I have to make it...

Need a Thai restaurant recommendation!

Hi and nice to see an active forum! I will come over from Hong Kong for a few days and like to get a recommendation for some nice Thai restaurants. A few years ago I was in Phuket and Thai places were somehow rare. Nothing fancy, just good food. I will stay in Amari (hope that's OK), but it looks li...
