Well, grotty.... maybe lets say very basic. Which I totally don't mind, but sometimes get overruled.

This said, I tried it tonight. It was quite busy with a number of customers, incl one large group. The menu is quite nice. Beside a good Thai selection they have also some pasta and steak dishes. A perfect mix. The Thai food tired person had a steak (a bit small, but good) and the rest had the usual Thai dishes. A bit too many as their portions are quite large. They don't have Morning Glory (pa boon?) on their menu, but were happy to make it anyway. All dishes we had were really good. A really good place! And comfortable airy too.

Just a follow up... The last night in Hua Hin we opted for non-Thai and went to 'Margaritas' on Soi 72. For unknown reason it has a very high rating on Tripadvisor. The place is rather small, the menu is small too (which is good!), prices are a bit over basic Thai food option, but still ok (>200/head). Food was good, margaritas were really good. A nice option if people like something-else-for-a-change.

That was also our last evening in Hua Hin. Have to say, I prefer Hua Hin quite a bit over Phuket. I haven't been to Pataya, but don't think I need to go there to find out that I won't like it there.

Just when I thought it's hard to find bad Thai food I was proven wrong, the first night in Bangkok we went to the food court on the 4th floor at the MBK mall. Bad and expensive. I did had mall snacks (Market Place in Hua Hin) and it was usually OK, and cheap.
