Power fluctuation Hin Lek Fai Phutawan area

Looking out of the window I guess I am not alone suffering power fluctuations in the Phutawan Hin Lek Fai area. The wife has turned off the TV etc (not a bad thing) and it is quiet apart from road noise and what I guess is a bar that obviously is not having any issues judging by the music. Does anyo...

Re: The Digital Surgery

While on the subject of the Daily Mail online does anyone know how to stop those annoying videos from starting up automatically (the pop up ones). Not an issue when I am home but when I am at work the ship's connection is very slow and streaming not permitted. I tried changing various settings in Wi...

Re: The Digital Surgery

Looks like it is the provider. I rebooted the router and still no success. I am not using a VPN for this site. Not a major problem as I can access it using my AIS mobile internet. Looks like just one of those things to learn to live with here like using the Daily Mail app because you cannot access t...

Login to UK site worked on mobile but not home internet

I have just been reserving a hire car for an upcoming UK visit (in this case with Enterprise) and was unable to login to the member area using my computer at home which has a good TOT internet connection. I tried to reset my password using their password reset function and it would not send the data...

Would have gone but for the lack of hotel rooms available unless you buy into a package. Would look to go next year but suspect it will be the same issue with getting a room even remotely close to the circuit.

The OP just highlight how ignorant I am about computers. To me it is all gobbledygook.

Re: Affordable Health Insurance For Expats

Obviously the cost will go up depending upon age and amount of cover but what cover would be a minimum using government rather than private hospitals? Travel insurance will come up as it is an alternative for many but if you want health insurance what should be the minimum cover to deal with most si...

Re: Affordable Health Insurance For Expats

As I am only here for a maximum of three months at a time Nokyai’s comment piqued my interest only to see a sixty day visit max if it is the Thailand travel shield being mentioned (please correct me if I am wrong) after checking the website. I use worldnomads as the cover is more and can be started ...

Re: The dark secret of Thailands child brides.

RCer is actually correct. Thai buddhists don't attempt to put any pretence of legality on paedofilia. Just watch the Thai language news or read the papers. Every day there are reports of step fathers, grandfathers, other relatives let alone the entertainment establishments selling young girls and bo...

Re: Cider cans @supermarket

Tesco Market Village, Bluport supermarket and Villa were my sources three months ago. I think in the past Hua Hin Meat & Bacon had cider as well.
Must admit though reading the first comment, not seen large bottles, only small ones.

Re: Name difference problem renewing UK passport

Thanks for the responses, things are looking up after a few down days. The UK passport office will be giving back the UK passport as it does not expire until October and there is now time for a visit to Thailand to get things sorted out. Great to know that multiple forenames can be used and this wil...
