I agree that the Independent article is over the top. It uses phrases such as 'military dictatorship'. I don't agree with military intervention in a democracy, but this is Thailand and politics just don't work in the same way as I am used to in my home country. The media should just report the news ...

Dengue fever

I know of three reported cases of Dengue fever occuring in the last couple of weeks in the Takiap area, close to the Baan Thai resort.
All three cases ended up in hospital.

Dengue is spread by the day biting mossie, so put plenty of repellent on.

I think we've spent far too long trying to discover the secrets of this planet. It's mainly inhabited by racist, bigoted, money obsessed twats! So where's the secret?

Tough choice to make between two very strong contenders. I would have preferred the captain to be in midfield, but I'm positive Terry will be up to the task.

Although the plot was foiled, the media coverage will go some way to giving the terrorists what they want. The public will now be scared of travelling by air again.

I'm just relieved that nobody was hurt.

I did my visa trip to Ranong this morning, I thought we had a bad trip (buses not turning up - when one did we had to stand up for 2 hours, immigration packed etc). Good job I didn't know about the earthquakes too. I'm drinking too much as it is.

He's a famous pedophile? This kind of thing goes on all the time, everywhere, every day. Society has always had a minority of people who will harm others for they're own personal pleasure or gain. We won't stop it by shouting 'kill them' 'burn them alive' etc... We also won't stop them by discoverin...

San paulo Hospital

Has anybody had tests done at the San paulo hospital? I need a thyroid test and was wondering if it might be better going to Bangkok.

Cheers
