Re: Monthly golf membership
Basicaly, most of our members are members of Lake View. Members don't pay green fee and get a reduction in the buggy fee (600 instead of 750).

Re: Monthly golf membership
I play in a society that only plays at Lake View. You are welcome to play as my guest whenever you like. But if you want to play different courses you will have to contact one of the other groups.

Re: Monthly golf membership
Most of the societies are not even slightly interested what kind of visa you have or whether you are staying permanently. The only important factor is "Are you a nice person to play with?". If the answer is "Yes" then you will have no trouble joining almost all of them. You would...

Zabwer does breakfasts, sunday roast, etc. The owner also owns Burger & Beer in Market Village as far as I know.

Re: Lake View golf course rating
I do not agree or disagree with the TrueHandicap ratings. I accept them because they are much more realistic than they used to be. TrueHandicap says it has received the new ratings from a golf group that regularly plays there (I've no idea who). Unless Lake View invests in proper measurements and ra...

Re: Lake View golf course rating
The Course- & Slope Ratings of almost every course in the world are highly disputed amongst members and the people who play them. The rules for calculation are extremely complicated and are contained in a very, very thick book which is only available to certain people within the golf community a...

Re: Lake View golf course rating
The course- and slope ratings on True Handicap have indeed been updated and are now in line with the other local courses. The new indices for men are: A/B: Blue (72.5/131), Yellow (72/126), White (72/121) & Red (70/113) A/C: Blue (72.5/129), Yellow (72/125), White (72/121) & Red (70/114) A/D...

There was a sale of small pets (including hamsters) at Market Village a couple of days ago. I don't know if it is still there.

Re: British tv channels
There are various vendors out there offering all British channels including sport, film, vod, catch-up, pay per view, etc. The charges vary but an average is about 50-60 pounds a year which can be paid per month, per 3 months, etc. Some services need a special IPTV box and others work on any Android...

I enjoy living in Thailand
I often see articles about all the things that are bad about living in Thailand. Although I agree with a few of these things, I am living in Thailand because I enjoy living here. There are many advantages here when compared to Western Europe. Here are a few in no particular order: Friendliness of th...

Re: Golf GPS Laser(not watch)
I bought a Mileseey rangefinder from Lazada for about 1700 Baht. Using a rangefinder is messy. You have to keep your hands very still which I found difficult. I used it for two rounds and then gave up on it. I bought a Garmin S12 watch which does everything I want and is extremely easy to use. I hav...

Re: 2022 F1 News
I just hope that the changes made will make Formula 1 a sport again where the best man wins. Decisions that make a race more exciting for the crowd or TV audience have NO PLACE in sport. If people want Formula 1 to be just entertainment as professional wrestling is then admit that and change it to a...

Re: Locations that serve a "good" Amercian / English breakfast.
A "real" English breakfast is served with fried bread. Toast & jam are the second course. The only restaurants I know in Hua Hin that serve fried bread are Nany's & Deli 88. The days are gone when breakfast was also served with kidney's & kippers. I don't think we will see thos...
