Re: Chill Chill?
I popped in this morning and asked for you but they knew nothing about it. It's a bit difficult when they don't know your name, what nationality you are, when you massaged and what lady or room you used? Please provide some more details or an email address and I'll try again. Do you have a picture o...

Re: Memorable incidents during your time in Thailand
First night ever in Thailand I had just flown in and checked in to the Sheraton in Bangkok and decided to walk around. I came across a massage shop, the lady invited me in. Had my first Thai massage, got a bit excited and started to remove her bottoms. To my surprise I met no resistance and complete...

Re: Investing in a massage shop
Sorry mate I just can't believe those figures, the shop does not get the "extras" that only goes to the girls. sorry. The extras are additional non-cash payments to me that don't go on the books. As a man, you'll understand. It is still good fun and we now have 6 ladies working, re...

Re: Investing in a massage shop
All is well so far. 1st months takings as expected. About 25k profit for the shop, after costs, extras not included. The girls have created a good atmosphere and customers running between 7 and 10 a day.

Re: Investing in a massage shop
Agreement signed. Shop fitted out. Rent and electric only 15k so profit more likely than not. Customers running around 10 a day. It's nice having 5 young beautiful girls, covered in oil, giving me naked body massages but I am feeling a little tired.

Re: Investing in a massage shop
Actually, it isn't just 70k. The shop had 10 customers yesterday. 3 on a slow day. Let's say 5 daily @ 300thb each. That's 40k per month. Just in low season (before costs). 10/20/30k a month each, net. While my friend has stumped up the deposit, guess who is getting the revenue? I don't need to golf...

Re: Investing in a massage shop
Ok. We have a Thai nominee lined up and have requested a signed legal agreement setting out the relationship. I've asked a businessman friend whether it's worth the paper it is written on. He said yes.
So, it is off to a lawyer to draw up the document. Anyone know the typical charge for this?

Re: Investing in a massage shop
He's going to the shop today to see if the existing arrangement works financially. He's well off and it's play money to him. Will report on the outcome, if anyone is interested. Thanks for the advice.

Investing in a massage shop
A friend is considering buying out a partner in a massage shop in the tourist area, mostly for fun but possibly for a return on his investment and has some questions which I can't answer. Maybe the forum can help? The outlay is 70,000 thb. Not too much to lose. Because he's a foreigner the shop will...

Food Cart/Kiosk. Who makes them?
I'd like to buy an Ice-Cream Cart/Kiosk. Hua Hin seems to be swarming with food carts, made by local manufacturers in small workshops. The only one I know is next to Somtawin School on Petchkasem but the build quality looks poor. Here's a few carts/kiosks I like. Does anyone know who can make someth...

I need 2 workers for a food stand. How to find?
How do you find/place staff here? I need 2 ladies to man a food stand and not sure where to look. Is it word of mouth or are there Job agencies here? Honest, if such a creature exists. Any advice appreciated.

Re: Proof of pension letter for retirement visa
Very helpful, thank you. Mine is a combination of external pension and savings in a Thai bank. I have two weeks to complete this, so will email the Embassy to confirm cost and timescale for turnaround of passport.

Re: Proof of pension letter for retirement visa
I'm happy to play by the rules, which aren't that clear on the Immigration site. Perhaps I'm looking at the wrong web page. As I understand it I need: 1. An application form. What is the form number? Can I download it? 2. Copy of my passport 3. Evidence of Income. Do I still need to have the funds i...
