Re: Renewal of O/A Visa after the first year
Somebody has now told me the important date to get the second year is not when you first arrive in Thailand, it is the "must enter by" date on the Visa. e.g. My "must enter by" date was 13. Nov. 2013. I actually entered on Jan. 14th. 2013. (I have exited and returned twice since ...

Renewal of O/A Visa after the first year
I am approaching the end of my first year with my O/A visa, and when i first received it, I understood i could get a second year without the income proof, (or 800,000 Baht deposit,) if I went outside Thailand, and returned before the expiry of the first year. Can someone confirm that this is still t...

lmonthly condo/ Apt wanted in mid range, help pls.
So it seems for 8-10,000 baht I can get the Sports Villa/ condochain quality, and for 30,000 baht I can get a 1 bedroom condo in the newer buildings on the beach. But is there anything in the 20,000 baht range that is nice?
Thanks for the help.

Re: Renewing the 90 day visa.
Dear Lomuomart, many thanks for the clarification. My big hangup over applying for the OA was the eventual need(after the first year) to have 800,000 baht sitting in a Thai bank, basically doing nothing! Now that you tell me I can just show 65 K a month income FROM OUTSIDE THAILAND for extensions to...

Re: Renewing the 90 day visa.
I am the OP, and just to clarify, I am Canadian, not British, and am resident of Canada. After reading your responses I decided that an "O" visa with multiple entries is what I wanted, so I called the Thai consulate in Vancouver, and here is the bad news: 1. They only issue multiple entry ...

Renewing the 90 day visa.
Sorry, I have read the other posts on this topic, but am still a bit confused. I am over 60, Canadian and have sufficient funds. I want to live in THailand on a "longer term" basis, but wan't to avoid the hassle/ paperwork for a 12 month "retirement" visa.I think I need a non-imm...

Re: Special holiday in HH?
I thought my question was clear, but to add to it, the daily rate was quoted the same before and after the 15/16th of Jan, and just doubled on those days. Sorry for the delay. I'm in Canada.

And what is the point in moving to HH if you are not going to golf and drink buckets of Ale?

Deposit on renting a condo.
I need advice. I have found a nice condo to rent for a month in Jan. It appears to be thru. a reputable company, but they are asking me to pay the deposit (20,000 Baht) directly to the owner of the condo, and not to the Company! They say the deposit will be sent to the Company by the owner at least ...

What to do when pulled over by the police?
Coming to HH for a month and plan on renting a car. I hear horror stories of people being subjected to forced payment of "fines" when being pulled over by the police. Please advise what I should do if pulled over.
Thanks you lucky locals you.

booking a condo for one month in jan.
I'm coming for my second visit to HH in mid. Jan for a month.Should I book a condo now, or wait until I arrive to get a cheaper deal? ( Got one story of a very nice on the beach condo. that was listed for 50,000 for the month last Jan.; couple went there on arrival and got it for 30,000). Basically ...

Thanks for the help. Looked for comments about Talu elsewhere, and there appeared to be a common wine about the 900 baht for 20 min. ferry ride. Any way around this?

BKK to Hua Hin by limo.
O.K. guys, i have read the thread for newcomers, but the info. given there is at least 3 years old ! Can you recommend a RELIABLE car and driver service to pick me up at BKK and drop me in HH. 3 years ago, i took a car back to BKK from HH, and it was much cheaper than the journey from BKK to HH. I d...
