Korkenzieher, I believe the reference to being Ernest is from Oscar Wilde's play " The Importance of Being Ernest ". A must read!!!!!!!

Thank you people of the forum. The info is much appriciated. I will need to stay in a Guest House for a week or so while looking for a rental. Any recomendations? I stayed at one just south of town both times I was There. I think it was called the Sea View but not sure. Owned by an Englishman in '98...

Absolutely!!!!!!! This will be my 3rd. visit to Hua Hin. Traveled 3mo.s in southern Thailand in early 1998, and spent 1 week there in 2002.
