Thailand desperately needs a change of order at the top and a fresher way of doing things - bringing Thaksin back after his track record would not provide that change.

The sad fact of the above is that the more they charge for their services, the more they believe that they are doing their customers a favour. Spot on. If you don't have insurance and need treatment Bangkok Hospital will escort you to a small room and demand you pay a 100% deposit before undergoing...

We may as well just unwind the last year of stability and go right back to carnage because thats what will occur no matter who gets "elected" - bye bye high season 2011/2012.

I have yet to see any price reductions or special offers in Hua hin - if anything things are going up! Phuket seems to be as busy as ever but that maybe due to the airport and the fact you can fly direct without setting foot in Bangkok.

Thanks for the explanation, where I live and work people kill each other over religion on a daily basis. Thailand just seems so serene sometimes that you have to question the necessity of it all.

I have watched this from a distance as I do plan to move to LOS soon, it just seems to be a back yard fight for the biggest toys. There are no differing religions or cultures and it is a beautiful country so why the heck are Thais killing Thais. ?
