Expat newspaper editor murdered in Hua Hin

Post by buksida »

Allen George Quicke, 57, editor in chief of Asia Times Online's subscription edition was killed in his home on Naebkehardt Road last night. The house is currently being investigated by police and forensic teams and access was limited at the time of writing. Neighbours reported an argument in the early evening and his body was discovered by a maid at approximately 08.20 this morning, the motive is still unclear.

This thread will be updated with more news as and when we receive it, my condolences are extended to friends and family.

Absolutely shocking - especially with recent events in HH.

I obviously did not know Allen, but heartfelt condolences to his family.

The Thai press have been all over this as usual, their story collates with what we have found out:

For some reason The Pukhetwan is running a story with the basics:

bit of an odd one.

Very sad. Hua Hin seems to be turning into Pattaya more and more everyday.

Very sad, though I didn't know him, he lived in, or just off of our road, which has always been relatively peaceful up to now.

Condolences to his family.
I've lost my mind and I am making no effort to find it.
