Re: Possible to get a housesitter?
I'll paid if I have to. My main concern is finding somebody trustworthy.

Possible to get a housesitter?
I'm going away for a week in December and I'm dreading the idea of leaving the house completely empty. I have dogs but they're going into the kennel while I'm gone. I live at the end of a road and a few of the houses around me are empty, so if somebody decides to break in, chances are nobody around ...

Re: Where can I buy a French press?
Too late now but if you need any other kitchen bits and bobs the shop on the corner of Chomsin and Sra Song Roads is good. (Not far from the rear of the main part of ChatChai Market.) The outside of the shop is hung with plastic containers etc but inside it's a little Aladdins Cave. Not too late. I...

Re: Where can I buy a French press?
Recently? Where are they? I looked where they have kitchen utensils (next to the pet food) and didn't see any. It was a while ago, and it was with the kitchen utensils, but on the top shelf above where the utensils are hanging. It is a small one that will make one large (American style) mug of coff...

Yeah, just googled the name and it's the same thing. I went there and couldn't find one.STEVE G wrote:Is that what is known as a cafetiere in the UK, a glass coffee pot with a plunger?
If so, they used to have cheap ones in the old shopping mall but that was a long time ago and I haven't looked recently.

Where can I buy a French press?
The one they sell at Starbucks costs 2000 baht. I think that's a bit excessive, but I haven't seen it anywhere else in Hua Hin. Any ideas?

Re: Autumn weather
I'm fully expecting it to get hot again in a couple of days. Just enjoying the cool breeze for a change. Is this a more typical representation of what the weather's like in December/January?

Autumn weather
The last few days have been very Autumn-like in Hua Hin. I was under the impression that it was always warm here, so this is a surprise. Can we expect more days like this between now and (let's say) February or were these just a fluke?

Re: Tick infestation - Help!
Front line does not always work on our dog and even after we have treated him he can still get the odd tick or two. His has now got a flea and tick collar and that seems to work much better without the ill affects he sometimes got from Front line. The collars are available at the pet grooming shop ...

Tick infestation - Help!
My house is full of ticks. I made the mistake of not treating my dog as soon as I moved here and only last week I realize he was full of ticks. I bought Frontline for him (the ticks are still there so far, but I know it takes some time for Frontline to work), but in the meantime, I can't get rid of ...
