BIG queues at Swampy airport.

Yesterday I arrived back in the kingdom, & like most of us, I landed at Swampy. I was the last person off the A380, & I'm slower at walking thanks to a dodgy leg...So, when I got to the end of the travelator/walkway I simply could not beieve the sheer volume of people waiting to be proccesse...

Re: Just HOW are folk going to get to the new rail station?

I noticed (& so did B.B.) that the kerbs are painted with B/W markings to allow parking on the road side...But..If the station side of the Rd is (& possibly will be) lined with songtaews, then on Sundays the opposite side will be lined with the BKK/Chinese minivans/people carriers outside th...

Re: Flights to/from Hua Hin Airport & other domestic locations

Hua Hin airport seems to be trapped in some kind of 'pause' setting'..It is no busier now than it was 20+ years ago. Back then (as I've posted on here before) the regular Bangkok Airways flight from BKK to Samui via H.H. was a gem..BUT..H.H. airport bumped up it's landing fees to the extent that B.A...

Re: Revamp at Poolsuk Plaza

Well Pagey..I'm laughing as much as Caller at your visit :D Indeed ..years ago when there were many units, lots of seating and a dance area it was a pleasant place to go. THEN (if I'm correct) a Farang did a rental-deal on the whole complex, then left it in charge of his wife/girlfriend..she in turn...

Revamp at Poolsuk Plaza

Did I read this week that the almost defunct Poolsuk Plaza has been revamped & re-branded..? Maybe now goes under the title 'Hua Hin beach Club.'.? The snippet I saw it was gonna cater for a broad range of folk...kids club, yoga/aerobics, then maybe beers after dark..? Any more news about this..??

Arh Nereus, That 'companion option' will indeed cost him more than tuk-tuks, but will indeed give the boy a long lasting smile..555.. :naughty: Thank you for all the answers to my initial Q. I was aware of all the implecations, but DID wonder if there was a way around the problem..? On the back of N...

Just HOW are folk going to get to the new rail station?

OK, Surely I'm not the only person to drive along past the new 'monstrosity' sorry, rail station, & see the 2 rail-lines between it & the road...& think how the hell do people physically get to that station..? Where's the access for cars, tuk-tuks, taxis etc..?? If there's no fence it'll...

Re: House Bricks

Just as caller explains..This little brick-works is great. They do ornate slabs also..Standard bricks are dense & heavy, and there is an option of 'lego' style red bricks also..I got the standard smooth-topped ones at 12b each, plus 100b for delivery..The staff are friendly towards farangs also.

Re: Locations that serve a "good" Amercian / English breakfast.

So then After all your bickering (& no outright decision being made about the 'best' US/Eng fry-up for breaky in/around town) How about a table/chart?..Showing the name of the place, the location, Opening times, average price, plus what's good, & what's not about their breakies..? OK it may ...
