You get the best deals on these jeeps on the islands but most are ex rentals.I bought an 8 yr opel corsa for the wife for 70000 spent 12,000 on insurance and fixing it up great car,there is a lot of second hand bargins on street sides with a phone number on the roof,some people need money quick and you can get a good deal.
Also depending on your visa etc, toyata and honda give hp to farangs

The Suzuki's are really underpowered when it comes to driving on the highway. Also there are some inherent design flaws such as the rear leaf spring hangers, the metal is to weak/flimsy and they have to reinforced/replaced that sort of thing.
They will get you from point A to point B though and thay can be had for cheap.
