Swimming pools

Post by Tone Num »

Hi,

Thank you for the response JD. We will try that. Also, would any one know of a hotel in the Khao Takiab area that would allow non guest to swim in their pool. I wouldn't mind paying. We will be here 6 months so it would be nice to have something set up.

Thanks,

Not really Khao Takiab but not too far from there: the pool at Sport Villa would be an option. Nice pool, good restaurant. Entrance fee 40 Baht for the day.
We are all living in 'the good old days' of the future.

I think PP Villa lets you use the pool for a small fee.

If you have transport, the hotel at the far end of the military beach at Suan Som has a reasonable pool that you can use as well. I forget the exact cost, but it was something like 40 bt.

The Takiap hotel allows you to use the pool at no cost but they do hope that you will order food or drinks while there. Also, the Anatisila (spelling?) on Takiap beach has an awesome pool and charge 50 baht which gets you a towel and use of the sun lounges. The food and drinks are also not that expensive and the setting is really good.

Thats great info Takiap. We live just around the corner from the Anantasila. Very handy.

Hi I have just moved to Soi 19 which is further north of the Kings palace, does anyone know any nice hotels around here where we can pay and swim? We asked at the imperial and were given a blunt no.

TIA

I stay on soi 16 which is just across the road from you and I’ve not found a pool really close.
If you have transport, Palm Hill golf club is the quickest to get to but it’s expensive if you are on a local budget, about 200 bt now if I remember right.
I use the one at Happy Valley which you can get to by cutting through to the canal road after the hospital (soi 10) where they have a nice 25 meter pool for 40 bt and is located in square B6 on this map:
