To put things in to perspective, I support Plymouth Argyle and England. I'm used to watching 2nd rate football,

BG,

Both England and Plymouth have had their moments, but you always know they're both going to let you down at some stage. We always moan about it, but we always know the only way is up, and its going to get better ......................... eventually :D

Seriously, I've never heard so much bullshit/so many lies come from a single source. I accept that some of the above statements sound harsh, but you'll never convince me they weren't justified.

To put things in to perspective, I support Plymouth Argyle and England. I'm used to watching 2nd rate football, being regularly disappointed and being the butt of jokes. These things I can easily take in my stride and smile whilst taking it.

Holloway makes my blood boil.
You're laughing and smiling, but you still seem to be saying that it is perfectly understandable to threaten someone's family because of football. Or am I misunderstanding something you've written?

Yes, a slight misunderstanding. He is not hated for his football - he was actually quite a good manager. The hatred is against the person.

He was welcomed in to the community, and made a big point of how he wanted everybody to adopt his family as well. Then he turned against community, making significant accusations, and at the same time time it became evident that he had been talking lies.

It was clear that what he was saying was to start the process again, and get his family adopted by Leicester - the problem was that he did it all in front of the media. He hurt a lot people in the process, and some them took it out on his family.

This man went out of his way to antagonise the local community, and it was fairly obvious that there would be a backlash against the family that he had left behind. I put it to you that anybody in any line of work would have suffered similarly if they had committed similar abuses.

Incidentally, I haven't mentioned it yet, but it was his wife that was suffering the abuse - nobody (or at least it was never reported) said a word to his daughters.

Let me ask you a question. If somebody who you knew very well went to the press and started talking rubbish about you and yours, would you turn the other cheek?

BB, that could be hard in view of their circumstances, but I get the gist of what you are saying. I think you are on your own on this one and would suggest you leave it there as you clearly feel very strongly about this - hence its still on your signature. I think for most, it's a case of whatever the guy said cannot surely justify personal abuse of his family, seriously?

Back to the football,
QPR are at home to bottom of the table Notts Forest on Sat 18th. On paper this should be an easy win for us! So seeing as we have the knack of snatching defeat from the jaws of victory, you'll understand that I wont be seeking bets

Even Plymouth beat Forest - it was early in our current run of success. Maybe this could be the start you need.

 It didn't last long :D

What kind of football do QPR play? They beat Swansea 6 - 0 on bookings. Shame they can't score goals

I guess I invited that. I couldn't bear to read that much of the match report - it was so poor! Dowie had a bit of a moan, maybe partly to "show he cares" before he gets the chop.

I was sort of joking when I said this... interesting names mentioned as replacements - Roberto Mancini, Terry Venables

Wow ................ that event totally passed me by. I've just had to check the BBC Sport pages to see if you were joking. Don't worry, it'll probably stall your progress for another season, but you really need a good motivator. QPR have the cash to get somebody decent into the role - be patient. Just hope that Gareth Ainsworth can hold the boat steady until the right person comes along.

Ian Holloway is still looking for work :lach:
