I think I have had my share of luck but also I have resisted the the odd gamble.
Much of the success is due to holding on the banker bonus and using my banker chip on the right match. Forget about the x 2 vs x 3 issue. I never put my banker on a draw or an away win. There is almost always one match that stands out as being a home win. This week it was Liverpool. Arsenal and Manure were playing each other so that was no good. Chelsea were away which left Liverpool as the best bet. I then check their attacking and defensive records at home and place my score at the mean. So quite a few times I have got 60 points or 30 and early on at least one 90 pointer.
I had a look at other peoples predictions who had score badly just to see why and I found that some had gone for very unreliable teams such as Aston Villa to win at home. Then you have the Manure fans betting on Manure winning at Emirates. The odds must have been in favor of Arsenal.
Outside of the top four teams the rest are a lottery. Spurs had a bad start and in the last three weeks have performed better than any of the top four including their good show in Europe. How can you predict that. West Ham and Hull have done the opposite and will probably bee fighting relegation by the end of the season along with Stoke and West Brom.
A general rule though is that the home team has an advantage and apparently the most common score is 2 - 1.
Now I have written this I will probably get minus points for the next two months.
