Finally he won, just!! Im so glad massa and ferrari didn't win. There is more than a touch of arrogance there and its not nice to see. A lot of it I think came from Alonso's apparant sour relationship with the Williams team. A relationship that I think showed him to be a petulant child and throw his toys out of his pram when he didn't get his own way. Aaaw poor baby...
I especially didnt like the responses of a certain web site.
Well now he's the world champion and all the nay sayers can go f*** themselves.
It was sad that Mr Coultard didnt finnish the race. Still he can console himself with his nice fat bank balance...

He also had to run the gauntlet of a lot of the other drivers who didn't like his driving style. The website at the centre of controversy over racist abuse of British formula one driver Lewis Hamilton is owned by a New York-based advertising agency, TWBA, which is part of the world's largest media services group, Omnicom, the Guardian can reveal.
The site belongs to the Spanish branch of the advertising firm. It was closed down last night after hundreds of abusive messages were posted, some of which referred to Hamilton as a "half-breed" and others which used the n-word. He hopes to become youngest ever world champion at the final race of the season tomorrow.

Wise words Randy. It brings it home to me just what he has achieved when i stop and think he's the same age as my daughter. At the age of only 23 the guy has always conducted himself impeccably. When Alonso's toy were flying everywhere for the most of last season and when some very odd decisions have gone against him this year,he's just got on with the job. The pressure the kid must be under with the media of the world stage looking down on him must be immense.I think he's handled it all brilliantly.
Randy that is very interesting what you say about the website and its location being in Spain.
I seem to remember either this year or last year Lewis copping some racial abuse from the fans at one of the Spanish tracks.
Also at present their club and international football fans seem do be getting in trouble for hurling racial abuse.
England are refusing to play Spain in a friendly at the Barcalona's ground due to the torrent of racial abuse the team had to endure in 2004 which nearly led to England's captain removing the team from the field. It does also seem to be a coincidence that the track that Lewis had all the abuse was also in Barcalona.
With all the efforts that the sportsman and women all around the world are putting in to try and eliminate this type of thing, it seems particular in Europe (Spain, Italy, Croatia, Russia & Germany), that this type of behavior is still deemed as acceptable to a lot of people who are attending these events.
I for one hope that he continues on his way and wins a few more World Titles along the way, and hopefully by doing so, helps to eradicate this sort of thing happening at sports venues around the world

A bit unfair to associate Massa (Brazilian) and Ferrari (Italian) with a Spanish driver & website!!
Ok, Hamilton was heckled over the weekend in Brazil, but had the finale been held at Silverstone, would the Brits act any differently towards Massa?? I think not.
Well done to Hamilton, he is Champion, but boy was it close. Great race, great finish.
Hope next year is as good
